Water Mitigation
Water mitigation involves the extraction of any standing water, removal of wet and water damaged contents as well as removal of drywall and insulation that will not dry properly and grow mold. Consumer Protection Restorations will pack up all clothing that is wet and send it off to be dry-cleaned. All other contents will be packaged and stored in an approved storage facility to prevent any contamination.
When all contents and building materials are removed, it is important to set up fans and dehumidifiers to dry and remove all moisture from the area so additional mold can’t grow and spread to other areas of the home. During this time our technicians will take readings to verify that all materials are dry and there is no additional mold growing anywhere else. If the source of the water is from sewage or contaminated material (i.e., fecal matter), it is extremely important that anything that is in contact with the contaminated water is removed. Antimicrobial agents are sprayed on all contaminated surfaces to kill any pathogens and bacteria from growing. After your home is rebuilt, all contents are returned and unpacked for you.
Fire Restoration
Fire mitigation involves extracting any standing water from sprinklers, removal of residual water left behind by the fire department, removing burnt and wet contents, as well as all burned building material (i.e. Drywall, floors, and insulation) to prevent mold growth. This is also the first step to removing the smoke and soot smell from your home or office. Subsequently, all burned materials are removed, and we ensure that everything is dry.
Consumer Protection Restoration will also pack up all wet clothing and send it off to be dry-cleaned. All other contents will be packaged and stored in an approved storage facility to prevent any further contamination. This is followed by a chemical sprayer that breaks down fire odors on surfaces. The room is then setup with an ozone generating machine that further removes odors from the air. After your home is rebuilt, all contents are returned to the home and unpacked for you.
Asbestos Abatement
Asbestos is present in a wide variety of building materials. Any home or building owner may encounter an asbestos-containing material (ACM) during the course of renovation, repair or demolition. ACMs can include insulation, plaster, floor or ceiling tiles, plaster, ductwork, roofing shingles, adhesives, and a host of others. If you determine you have an ACM in your home or building, you may choose to leave it alone. These materials are not dangerous if they are in good condition and undisturbed. They only become dangerous if the material is disturbed or damaged so that asbestos fibers are released in the air where they can be inhaled. Trying to remove the ACM may involve damaging it in some way and therefore making it dangerous.
Mold Remediation
Mold remediation involves one of our experts to do a thorough inspection as well as air quality testing to identify where and what type of mold is growing in your home. Subsequently, once the affected areas are identified, all materials are removed and sprayed with an antimicrobial agent. Dehumidifiers and HEPA air filters are set up to remove pathogens and moisture from the air which makes the area inhabitable for mold to grow.
We offer a pack-out service that sends all of your contaminated clothing, bedding, rugs, and draperies to be dry-cleaned. We will also pack your belongings to avoid contamination from mold spores and store them in an approved facility. Household items such as tables, chairs, toys, and any other contaminated furniture are cleaned by our technicians to remove any stains and mold growth that may have attached to your personal items.
